The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.

I am a biologist specialized in bats. I am currently obtaining my PhD at the University of Tennessee in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. My main research interests are in ecology, animal behavior and conservation of bats. I incorporate my experiance in research and biology into photography. My photographs won a few photography contests in the last few years and different NGO’s have used them for outreach, posters and calendars.

My research interests are ecology, animal behavior and conservation of bats; currently I am working in antipredator defenses in bats, I am focusing on how the pressures of predation drive the evolution of the behavior of bats, especially in bats that roost in foliage.
